"So, it is the links you're after then, isn't it?" asked the old sorcerer in a raspy voice...
Well... Here you have them. Hope they bring you better luck than they brought me...
- Art.
- The site formerly known as "Andy's Art Attack"
This guy really has a big collection of web-resources. Too bad he just pust some teasers up on the page, and lets us pay for the rest. But his CD-Rom is definately worth it's money if you want to make a professional looking web page.
- John Mueller's website
This is the guy who did the "visor" artwork on the inside of your Quake 3 manual. He put some scans of his Q3 posters up online, and also a nice comic called "Heaven's Buthcer", also known as "Oink".

Big site full of hardware-reviews and other related information.

- ELMP project
Embedded Linux Mp3 Player, a home stereo MP3 player built from obsolete PC hardware. Planning on starting to make one myself in october. I'll put up a page with the project's progress by then. I also put an old version of the page here because it contains some interresting links not found in the new version.
- Crystal Space
A 3D portable opensource engine that runs under DirectX, Glide and OpenGL for Windows, Macintosh, OS/2, BeOS and Linux.
- Voxel Landscapes
A comprehensive piece of documentation on how voxel-engines work, and how to implement these algorithms into a computer program.
- Gamasutra
A news site for game programmers/developpers. Has some pretty interresting articles every now and then.
- Seti@Home project
SETI@Home stands for the Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence at home. It's a project that tries to shuffle out certain patterns in the universe's radio emissions that could originate from extraterrestrial sources. They use computers all over the internet, so if you want to join, go check it out. It basically runs a screensaver that analyses chunks of data while your computer is idling, and reports back to the SETI-server when it's done, or when you want to (just in case you don't have your internet connection open all the time, and don't want SETI to connect without your permission). Definately worth a checkout.
- Tools.
- POV-Ray
A 3D graphics renderer available for multiple platforms. The buttons on the left hand (although it doesn't really show since the 3D-effect is lost by looking right at the front of them) were created with this program.
- MoRAY
A modeller for POV-Ray. Handy for those who do not want to mess around with POV-Ray's scripting language.
- TextureView
Texture Viewer for POV-Ray. Shows prerendered thumbnails of all textures, together with a bigger version and the code for pasting into your scene-file in case you don't want to parse a whole texture file just for one texture.
- Freshmeat
Freshmeat.net: the main site for all of your linux downloads
- RPMfind
A nice tool for linux-users using RedHat, Mandrake, or just any distro that can handle rpm packages. This one can find updated versions of all your favourite programs on the net.
- Tucows (Belgian TORNADO-mirror)
Well, if you don't know Tucows, then go out and kill yourself, 'coz you're not worthy. Hey, no. Wait... It's not too late, click it... Click it!!!
- Linuxberg (Belgian mirror)
Hell yeah, Tucows just couldn't resist it. After being the major windows download site (ahum, ftp.cdrom.com employees are sending me bombmails as I'm writing this because I even dared to suggest such a thing) they just couldn't resist the temptation to try and attempt to become the same for linux users. Well, IMHO they'll never dethrone Freshmeat, but they made a nice attempt anyway. ;-)
