What do you need?
A īcase & power supply (standard PC PSU works fine, case should be good looking and big enough)
Low end Pentium motherboard and CPU, any P75+ should be fine.
Some EDO or FPM memory, 16 megs is about right.
A soundcard (SB16 or compatible if you want to use my kernel, or any 16 bit card with Linux support)
A network card if you need network support, NE2000 compatible support is in my kernel.
A IDE CDROM drive, any 1x or faster... Make sure it can read all your MP3 CD-Rs!
A 3,5" floppy drive for booting
A 5VDC, 2-pole relay
A 2x40 character LCD module, with HD44780 controller (very common)
Some cables
Some buttons for the front panel
My microcontroller board, check the download page for PCB layout etc. It's not very complicated.
Note: you can leave some parts out if you know what you're doing... If you don't want to play MP3s from CD and don't want to play audio CDs then you don't need a CDROM drive! If you don't have a network at home you sure don't need a network card. If you don't need my super advanced standby mode (APM sleep) you don't need the relay, right now the standby mode doesn't work right anyway... Note that any major changes to the hardware design may also require changes to the software since it not very flexible (yet).
